Freckles come from where?

Dawson is the only one of my kids that has freckles on his nose like I do. When I was a little kid my mom would tell me that you get freckles from kissing boys. I would insist it was not from kissing boys because I never kissed any. She would say that dads and grandpas counted so that made sense to me. It was not until I was about 8 or 9 that I found out the truth of where freckles come from. I was clearly a very naive child. Dawson says people with plain faces look 'kind of wierd'. So I guess that means Dawson and I are the only one in our house who look normal!? I don't know about that. I told him freckles and plain faces are both cute that is what makes everyone unique. Kids are cute the way they perceive things!!

Good Season!

Braedon had his last basketball game on Saturday. They won!!! They had a great season. It seemed that they were just getting the hang of perfecting the plays and working as a solid team when the season ended. Braedon did a great job as a guard. We enjoyed going to his games and seeing them play. Their season ended with a 7-0 undefeated record!!! Good job!! Good job to the coach also! :0) Next sport.......baseball.

Go Karts!!

Braedon wanted to do something with a friend this weekend, since his birthday weekend was spent in SLC with my family mourning the loss of our baby cousin, so we went to Idaho Falls. He wanted to take his friend Easton and so we went to TSR and rode go karts. The little kid ones were broke so Taelor and Dawson played on the inflatable toys instead. We had a great night. Afterwards we went out to eat and Shane was mixing sugar, salt and pepper and challenging the boys to eat it. THEY DID!!!! Boys do some wierd stuff!!!

Happy 11th Birthday Braedon!

It seems like yesterday that he was turning one and now he is 11! Braedon keeps everyone on their toes. He loves his sports!! He had a mellow birthday evening opening presents and having brownies and ice cream. This weekend he is inviting one friend to go with us either to Outer Limits or TSR in Idaho Falls. He can't decide which yet. We love you Braedon and are happy you are in our family!

Sad and Happy..

We ended a sad morning/afternoon with a happy evening. We had a surprise birthday for my Grandma who turned 70. She does not look or act that old. She is aging gracefully!!!! I love you Grandma, you too are an inspiration for me. You deal with everything with a smile and just keep going. I am so thankful you are my grandmother!!! I love you!!

I need to tell my Aunt and Uncle (you were probably expecting older people) that they are such and inspiration to me. They did every parents nightmare and that is saying goodbye to their baby boy. I am in awe of them. They are incredible!!! Thank you for being such a wonderful example. George and Oliver are lucky to have you as their parents. Oliver will forever live on in our hearts. I love you both!!
