Play ball!

So I got more pictures of Braedon last night during his game. They rallied again and won 12-5. This year he is playing catcher and pitcher. He has always wanted to be a catcher and was excited to give it a try this year. He seems to really be enjoying himself. He pitched really well yesterday also. Three up three down both times. Nice job!!!

I am a sucker.......

So last night I get a phone call from the woman in charge of T-ball telling me that the team I had requested for Taelor was full. I thought oh well she just won't have a coach that she knows......no big deal, right? WRONG!!!!! She thens goes on to tell me this sad;( little story of how she is short 6 coaches this year and doesn't know what to do. The lady I wanted to be Taelor's coach had 'kindly' recommended me to her saying perhaps I would coach again. My mind is now traveling every which direction. Do I want to coach again? I did not do that great at it last year. Do I want to coach Taelor? After all she listens to me SOOOOO WELLLL!!! Do I want to put up with parents who want this to be more than just T-ball? So I ask the woman can you tell me who is on the team so that I could make a more informed decision. ( You know in case I am not fond of the parents. I know that is really rude but I am volunteering here!!!) So she procedes to tell me who is on the team and she says the name of little boy who's mom is a very wonderful friend of mine. So what do I tell her..........."Okay I will do it." Might I add that was the least amount of happiness that went along with the answer. So now my boys GET to help me again this year and I hope and might pray that Taelor will actually listen this year instead of perfecting her dirt drawings. Sometimes I am just a sucker!!!!

BASEBALL!!!!

I am so excited.....baseball season is upon us. I love watching baseball games. I wanted to get a picture of Braedon before his first game and he was complaining like crazy!!! I am like just one picture and finally he says 'FINE just take the stupid thing'. You would have thought I was asking him to sit out his first game or something, all I wanted was a little smile 'like an I am so excited to go play' kind of smile. But no I got a 'are you done yet' kind of smile. I will take more pictures Braedon you just wait!!! You can't stop me when you are busy playing! HAHAHHA!! His team played well after they got their first itme jitters out and ended up winning 13-3!! Go Giants!

Go Dawson!!

I am always trying to get pictures of Dawson doing his tricks and tumbling things but it is really hard to do since he is moving so fast. The ones I usually get are real blurry or his face is doing some strange look, lucky for me some finally turned out!! Yeah!! He loves doing flips of any kind. Front, back, side, twists you name it and he can probably pull it off. He also got to go the Pinewood Derby finals on Saturday. They set up the track in the middle of the mall. Dawson does not like going up in front of people and was so nervous he wanted ot just leave and not do the 'stupid race' but he was convinced otherwise. His car did pretty good. He didn't make it to the next round but he got a Blue Ribbon for competing and that was fine with him. We were very proud of him for going up there and racing. Good job Daws!!

Don't get me wrong........

Sooo our dog needs more attention than my kids do. He has WAY too much energy and thinks everyone needs to play with him 24/7. I on the other hand think he should grab his bone and chew on it for a while if he is that bored but NO he would rather bug everyone else. Because the weather has been so rainy the last couple of days he has been inside alot more and not able to run around. Last night he woke up like a newborn baby every couple of hours. I would let him outside and he would walk down the stairs and right back up again wanting back in. So I go lay back down for a while then her he comes again. I would have loved to just ignore him when he sticks his nose in my face and breathes heavy but I am the ONLY one he wakes up. There are four other people in the house and he has to choose me everytime!!!! Come on! Somedays I feel a little like Noah with the pets that we have, mostly because I take care of them all. Right now we have a fish, a frog and 'wonder dog'. In the past we have had salamanders, other fish, a duck (we found in the park) for a few days, a good dog, a squirrel that Shane rescued, baby birds that were stuck in the dryer vent and more that I just can't remember right now. My kids want a hamster. At this point I am ready to go buy one and stick it in one of those balls and let it roll around the house just to entertain the DOG!!!! My luck he would break the ball and have lunch and then I would feel really bad. Soooo don't get me wrong I love the dog I just wish he would SLEEP!!!!!!

What a Weekend!

Taelor and Dawson were jumping on the tramp Saturday afternoon when he hit her in the tooth on accident. It pushed the tooth (it was barely loose before) totally backwards and was bleeding like crazy. I called Shane and he came home and worked her tooth for about 40 minutes so it gently came out and she didn't even feel it. He has the patience of a saint when it comes to things like that.

Now she has a VERY toothless smile. I love the way air flows with every word she says. Soooo cute!

Saturday night Shane's niece Stormy competed in Snake River Jr. Miss competetion. She did a great job and looked very pretty!! Good job Storm!!

I feel OLD!!

So yesterday was kindergarten sign-up, and Taelor was soooo excited. She was a little sad when I told her she wasn't going to class yet but she got to show her teacher her lost tooth. She is very excited. There is something to be said about signing up your youngest kid in school. Sad....:( Then as if that was not enough last night the Middle School had an open house for the upcoming 6th graders next year. So here is Braedon and his group of friends wandering around together like they rule the roost. We parents just laughed!! It is both an exciting time and a sad time. It seems like yesterday that Braedon was born and now all of the sudden I am sending my youngest to school. Very surreal!!

Oh no it's gone!!!

It's official.......her tooth finally came out. This is her third tooth she has lost and she is only 5, soon she will have dentures!! She loves loose teeth but will not let ANYONE but her dad even attempt to try and get her teeth out. Her first two she pulled out herself, one by wiggling while watching TV and the other she was trying to get a lid off a cup and out it came. This one however has been barely hanging on for weeks. Last night Shane was wiggling it ever so gently and POP out it came. She didn't even know it fell out. She has decided that she is going to collect teeth now. (I think I will be changing that however) She looks SOOOOO cute!

This past Saturday Shane took the boys to see the Monster Trucks at Holt Arena. Sooooo Taelor, my mom and I decided to have a girls night out. We went to the mall and tried on shoes, looked jewelry and fancy dresses. We went to Bath and Body and tried nearly every lotion sample there was and got some samples of lip gloss. To top off the night we got ice cream! She (Taelor) was so excited to not have to go to any "boy" stores and just do what we ( or she) wanted to do. It was alot of fun. Thanks for joining us mom!! Let's do it again!!

Dawson's Pinewood Derby!!

Dawson had his PInewood Derby when we were in Wisconsin so Grandma pitched in for him and took his car and raced it. She was told be everyone what a good Grandma she was (we already knew that). His car won First place in Bear. Now he can go to the finals for the Stake. His car is awesome as always, thanks Shane.

Bits and Pieces

Before we went on vacation Breadon took a Hunter's Education class and this is the day he got his license and the target he shot. He did really well for never shooting a gun before. He said the class was boring but the final day when they got to practice what they were taught made it all worth it. Good Job!!

Taelor got alot of new Barbie clothes thanks to her Great Aunt Kathy who sewed them for her. It was make over city last night. She got ball gowns, scrubs, robes, fancy boy and girl clothes. She had a blast. Thanks!!
