Did someone say SNOW?

We got so much snow yesterday that I have been shoveling for what feels like forever. WHEW!! I am going to guess we got around a foot of snow. More is on the way too. No rest for weary back pain!! The kids have been out playing and sledding in the back yard. They are having a great Christmas vacation so far. We hope your Christmas is full of joy and hope for the New Year. We are grateful for such wonderful families and friends. Merry Christmas!!!

Good job Dawson!!

Dawson had his school program yesterday and he did AWESOME!!! He said he was a little nervous but I could not even tell. The theme was 'I need a Christmas Vacation.' He got to do the limbo and hit a pinata. They sang the most adorable songs!!! Seeing as Shane could not make the program due to work it was hard for me to film him and take pics. So what I am posting here are just the still pics I got of him. He is so cute if I don't say so myself!!!

I do realize it looks like he is not having fun but it was very hard to get him mid song without it being blurry.......so this is as good as it gets by way of pictures!!!!! It was a really cute program.

Taelor loves to dress up cute. Well I should say Taelor loves to dress up cute when it is her idea. Today was her Christmas party for preschool and so she had to dress in a 'Christmas outfit'. They made trains out of graham crackers and candy and had lots of fun!!!

Nothing much.....

So here I sit at my computer to tell you that besides Christmas nothing new is going on. It is freezing here. Right now it is 21 degrees but with the wind chill it is 14. I am getting close to being done with the Christmas shopping. I got my Holiday baking done and delivered so that is one less thing to do. My kids are anxiously awaiting Christmas morning and school break. Dawson has a school play this week and Braedon starts basketball practice plus the three different school parties that we have going. Busy is a mom's middle name. Until later..........

SNOW?

Could that really be SNOW? It's finally starting to look like Christmas around here. It is about time!!!!!! Even though it didn't snow long it did finally snow!!!

Anybody wanna try......

A fun Saturday afternoon with a bar of soap. Braedon and Dawson wanted to give soap whittling a whirl. Then Taelor thought she should join the fun. They enjoyed trying to figure out what to make. Braedon ended up with a little soap dish of sorts, Dawson carved a tree and then it fell apart on the last little carve. :( Taelor needed help after she demolished her bar .....so MOM to the rescue. We salvaged it and made a 'T' for Taelor and a car. What Cheap fun!!!!

A Parade!

Ths day after Thanksgiving is always a busy day. Mine started at 3:45 when my alarm went off so that I could be one of those strange early morning shoppers. Well I got the deals I wanted and was back home by 7:15 so that Shane could go to work. Then we relaxed a little and played a few games until the afternon about 2:00 when Shane was helping his brother put together a float for his wifes daycare. The boys wanted to help and then all three kids were invited to ride on it in the parade of Christmas floats at 6:00 that night. So I sat in the cold waiting to cheer my kids on while they froze their little buns off during the hour long parade. They all had a good time but decided next year they want the candy instead. Their float got voted Children's Choice!!! Good job to Shane and his brother!!!

Our Thanksgiving Weekend

Dawson was so excited he couldn't hold still. Braedon and Shane played some football in the backyard, while Taelor practiced her driving skills. All and all everyone had a good day!!

Give Thanks.....

I am grateful for my family and this time of year makes me all the more grateful for the things that I have. I am grateful for my health, my kids, my husband, my family and extended family, the house I have and the car I can drive. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy those around you. Thanks to all of you in my life for you all make me a better person. Enjoy your Turkey Day!!!

Thanks for your help...

So this weekend we went to Salt Lake for a early Thanksgiving dinner with my family and made a little stop at Tai Pan Trading. Can I just tell you how much I love this store!!!!! I could love there. My Grandma and Aunt Sarah ( she is not as old as that makes her sound. She is younger than me but married to my Uncle who is also younger than me. FYI) helped me pick out some festive fruit for my centerpiece on my table. I looks good I think. This is just one option I can do with the many pieces I bought!!! Thanks for your help!! I had a great time.

Look what we got!!

We got a new kitchen table and chairs plus a new mirror for the living room!!! Merry Early Christmas to us! It is a HUGE table. Funny but it did not look quite that big in the BIG furniture store. Our couches we got last year didn't look that big in the store either. We just have knack of getting big furniture. I am so excited.

Feeling confused....

So here I sit at my computer trying to figure this whole blog thing out and I must admit that I am rather confused. I type something in and it doesn't show up or it disappears into I guess cyberspace. I thought this would be kind of a gimme, clearly I was WRONG. Hang with me folks I will figure this out yet.
