In order to suceed you must believe

Braedon had a baseball game on Thursday night last week and he was so positive the whole game. No matter what happened he was happy. So his team is winning by 6 runs or so and Braedon is up to bat. He gets up there and hits a HOMERUN!!! A huge homerun too!! His team was all waiting for him when he reached home plate. It was so cute to see then cheering each other on and being supportive of one another. I love watching my kids when they are proud of themsleves and their accomplishments. Happy mom moment!! He also had a game on Friday night. It was the 7th inning and he was pitching. This year he does not like it when someone is on base when he is pitching. So the kid on 1st kept trying to steal and Braedon would throw it to first and try and get him out. He did this like 5 times in a row. A dad on the other team starts yelling,"JUST PITCH THE BALL!!!" So Braedon throws one more time to first. Then the guy yells the same thing again. A dad on our team yells,"KEEP GOING BRAEDON!!" Finally Braedon just decided that he would pitch three strikes and get the out and win the game. So that is what he did!! I love watching him pitch and catch. He is a good all around athlete and a joy to watch!!

My New Life

I saw this on another blog also and it very much identifies with being a mom and putting everyone else's needs before your own. It is inspiring to me to see someone who has gone through this and is still going on with a great amount of faith and determination to do the things that she was sent to earth to do. Nothing will ever seem to hard or to much anymore. If she can go through what she has been dealt I to can go through my life living and doing what I was sent here to do.

5 P's

5 P's of Parenthood:
1. Priorities. (remember God and Family First)
2. Positivity. (it goes a LONG way)
3. Persistence. (the only way to raise a child.)
4. Pondering. (a MUST if you are to grow as a mother.)
5. Patience. (its hard to have, but a virtue as a parent.)

I saw this on another blog and I absolutely LOVED it. It is so true and hard to do at times but very rewarding when it happens. This is true in just about everything. Braedon hit a homerun last night and to see the joy and pride on his face was very rewarding. To know that he had the confidence to stay in there and keep playing after getting out three other times in the game. Sometimes it is hard to be positive all the time but if we can as parents I think our kids will accomplish more than we thought possible. I am going to try harder to grow in each of the areas. I hope I can do myself and my kids proud. I love being a mom more than anything else in this world.

So Sweet!!

On Mother's Day I was in the bathroom getting ready and Taelor brings me in this card (one of about 10) that she made for me!! Then she tells me she is going to be the best girl. Then down the hall she walks in her robe and I hear her opening and shutting the front door. I go out in the living room and she is outside on her stool cleaning the window on the screen door. She was being so helpful and she was so happy with herself. That is all I really needed for Mother's Day was a helper that didn't complain!! Dawson made me a card and wrote a sweet little poem inside. Then Shane took all the kids and bought me two glass colored vases with curly willow and other things to go in them. They look awesome on the corners of the fireplace downstairs! It was a great day!! Thank you to my wonderful kids and husband who make my life so great!! Love you!!

Outside.....

It is no secret that I LOVE being outside. If it is nice out I make my kids go out with me and we play tag or jump on the tramp together or something. Well a couple of weeks ago we were bored and Shane was busy working so I took the kids to Ross Park with my mom. They started hiking around on the trails and climbing rocks and they had a blast. It was nice to get out of the house and enjoy the world given to us. Being on top of the world.....or in this case on top of the mountain.

So he was really stuck and yelling at me but I couldn't resist taking his picture!! Then I helped him down. :0)

Mighty Dawson!!

Taelor had to find just the right flowers for us to take home.

Braedon started baseball a couple of weeks ago but these are the first pictures I have taken because I am always keeping score and can't!! I just wish it would be nice for a game......an entire game!!!! I am ready to move to a warmer climate!!

I love love love watching him play sports!!

A crush...

The other day Taelor was listening to the radio and a song came on and she was yelling "Oh my gosh I love this song!!!" Then she comes out after a while and asks me if I heard the song, I told her I did. She says I Love Justin Beaver!!! I laughed and laughed and when I could finally talk I told her his name was Justin Bieber. She says." Well whatever his name is I like him!!!" It was so cute!! His name does sound alot like Beaver if you listen to it closely when people are talking about him. Espescially to a kid who is learning to read and can't read his name. Gotta love her!!!

Jello sandwich..?

Dawson loves to tell stories true or not!!! Sometimes he is so convincing that I am not sure whether or not he is telling me the truth! The other night we were eating dinner. He proceeds to tell this story of a friend of his (we will call her jane to protect her identity).

Dawson: Mom, Jane was eating a Jello sandwich for lunch today.
Me: No sir that is nasty!
Dawson: No really she was, you can even ask so and so she was sitting there too.
Me: What do you mean a Jello sandwich? Like Jello in between two pieces of bread?
Dawson: Yes and mayo!
Me: That is SOOOOO nasty are you serious?
Dawson: Yes I am!!
Me: What color was the Jello?
Dawson: Red
Me: I don't believe you! (Nice mom right?)
Dawson: MOM!!!
Me: That is disgusting who would pack their kid a lunch like that!
Dawson: Well her mom did.
Me: Whatever....... I am still not sure you are telling the whole truth.
Dawson: Fine!

A little while later he told me it was all just made up!!! I mean this kid was serious and he comes up with some of the most outlandish stories you have ever heard!!!! He needs to be a writer! Geez!!!!
