Taelor's Graduation Day
I can not believe that it is already time for the school year to be over. Taelor has had such a great time in preschool this year. She has learned so much and is MORE than ready to go to kindergarten. She thinks now she gets to go to kindergarten tomorrow. I can't get her to understand that she has to wait until summer is over. The concept of time is hard to grasp. This year was Taelor's teachers last year to teach so I was very grateful Taelor got to be in her class. Braedon and Dawson both had her as well and loved her just as much as Taelor does. Mrs. Joni is wonderful and will be dearly missed but she has put in her 20 years and deserves to move on and do something else. We love you Mrs. Joni!!
Taelor doing the play. She was a kitty. (Note: no costumes as they were embarrassed enough to get up there.)

Being grateful
I was talking to a friend of mine this morning about her niece who has cancer and she is only 2 years old. It breaks my heart to even try and imagine what they are going through. She starts her chemo today and has to have it for 36 weeks. She is their only little girl and they are just torn up. It is little things like this that me me so grateful that my kids are healthy. They might drive me crazy now and then but at least they have their health. You never know where this life will lead you and you just hope you have the strength to carry on and do what your mission here on earth is. Our thought and prayers are with Teegan and her parents.

Thanks Dawson!
There is a contest at school to write an essay on why you love your mom. It is from a jewelry store here in town and they pick the winners. Well much to Dawson's surprise they picked his essay. It was adorable. He said he loves me because I take care of him and cook for him. He loves me just because!!! He did a very good job on it. The prize he won was that he got to go to the store and pick out a gemstone worth $300. If you know Dawson this is one of his favorite things in the world. The boy LOVES diamonds. I keep telling him his wife is going to love him to death!! While we are in the store he is having the hardest time trying to pick out a gem. After about 10 minutes of browsing he finally decides on one. He was so proud!! When we got in the car he asks me, "Mom do I have to give it to you or can I keep it?" I told him it is his choice because he wrote the essay and ht essay is more important to me than a gem. He is such a sweet boy. Thanks for the letter Dawson I love you too!!

A late wish...

I want to take this oppotunity to thank my mom. She is a great inspiration to me. When your a kid you don't see how much a mom actually does until you become a mom yourself. Being a mom is the best, hardest, funnest, saddest, happiest, busiest job any person could ever do. It takes alot to keep a family going and moms are there to clean up around the edges and make life a little easier on everyone. I am grateful my mom has been there to support me and give me advice along this journey. I am the mom I am because of her example and helpful tips. My mom is one of my best friends and I am grateful for the time we get to spend together each day. She is always there to cheer me up, laugh at my many mistakes and she is a great grandma! My kids are truly grateful for you also!! Thanks for bieng my mom!! I love you! Also I want to thank my stepmom for being so kind to me all these years. Thanks for taking care of me when I would visit you and my dad. You have always been such a friend to me even when I was a brat and for that I thank you. I am glad my dad found you I, I can't think of anyone else I would rather have for a stepmom. I love you too.

Mom's and muffins
Today Taelor and I got to go to a special day at preschool I t was Mom's and Muffins day. We ate muffins and made a little craft together. The kids in the class each answered questions about their mom. Some of the things she said about me were:
*I weigh 30 lbs. (Yippee!)
*I am 30 years old. (She is in fact correct on that one.)
*I look pretty when I go to church.
*If she had a million dollars she would buy me flowers for the garden.
*We have fun when we go to baseball games together.
*I cook yummy food.
She also said I don't cook anything. Perhaps she needs to spend more time in the kitchen!!! I am not sure what it is she thinks I am doing in there and how dinner actually gets fixed and on the table. Silly kid!! After that we went out to lunch together. She chose Wendy's, for the frosty of course!! It was a very fun time just me and my girly!!!

Spring things
Spring is a time of things coming back to life. Baby animals are being born, flowers are blooming, grass is turning green and two of my friends have both had their babies. One was born last Monday. A little girl named Emersyn (isn't that cute). She is very cute. Gorgeous complexion!! The other was born on Wednesday last week weighing in at a whopping 11 lbs. 2 oz.!!!!! I believe he crawled out but I am not sure. He is cute. In fact he was born with so much hair she combed it in a Mohawk!! His name is Luke. I wish both mothers a speedy recovery and lots of fun with their new spring bundles of joy!!
On a different note...............
So last night Braedon played another baseball game. It was not any baseball game though, it was against the team that is said to be 'the best'. No one is very fond of the coaches on this other team or the coaches son for that matter. The kid is not a very nice human!! He is always saying awnry remarks toward Braedon about losing to his team and little comments like that. Well in the second inning of the game Braedon was playing catcher and the kid was on third trying to lead off and steal home. The pitcher threw the ball to third and the third baseman threw the ball to Braedon who had come off of home plate and was about five feet into the lane. The kid then lowers his shoulder as if he is a linebacker and lays Braedon out!!!! He literally flew in the air and landed on home plate. The kids intentions were to hit Braedon and hope he dropped the ball so he would be safe. NO SUCH LUCK FOOL!!! He was OUT and Braedon was a little shaken up, needless to say. Shane was not a very happy camper and was talking with the umpires about that. Shane asked them why it was okay for him to lead with his shoulder trying to knock Braedon on his back on purpose. After alot of talking the kid apologized (because his dad told him too) and the game continued. We won by a dropped pop fly and scored three runs to win the game. Winning may not be everything but when you win against someone like that it is so worth it!!!!!
