Ice blocking

Saturday the kids were bored (again) and so I decided to show them some cheap fun. Off we went to Winco to pick up some blocks of ice and we went ice blocking. That is so much fun to do. We tried going down in a train but that did not work very well as we all ended up in a heap at the end of the hill. They had a good time but it was a hot day and up and down the mountain just nearly did them in. All in all they had a great time and want to go again sometime and this time take friends. Ready set go!!!!

Bring on the pain!!

Yesterday we started off at 8am to the orthodontist to get Braedon his braces. Oh boy!! Good times had by all!! He was a real trooper through it all. He told Dawson you really don't want these about an hour after he was done, nut later he said these are kind of cool mom!! He looks vey grown up all of the sudden. He chose cobalt blue and metallic silver for his rubber bands!! The lady said he was 'stylin'!!! I can't believe I am old enough to have a kid in BRACES!!

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake this past weekend for a baseball tournament for Braedon and we invited alot of family to go with us and camp. We were camped close to the Lake and so we brought Jet Skis and every other toy thing you can imagine and had a great weekend. I forgot to take my camera to the final day and wouldn't you know they did good that day!! So I did not get any pictures of him or of them winning 2 nd in the tournament. Lucky for me Shane's dad did. I hope he shares! Our larger than life Turtle
Dawson loves sand!

Braedon and Taelor checking out how the Turtle works.

This is the only way to get his picture.....if he doesn't know!

Beautiful Lake!

The boys at the campsite! We had a great time but next time we need to go and be able to spend more time on the water!!

Family Reunion

We arrived on Thursday and stopped in to Shoshone Falls to see the water. I have never seen this much water going over in July!! It was crazy full! My kids were very impressed.
The following day all the family that came to Twin Falls went down to Dierkes Lake. It was so much fun to see everyone. There were so many of us that everywhere you looked there was another family member. We all had a blast and were very tired when we returned back to the motel that night.

Aunt Rachel helping the kids catch little fish.

Doing a little sand art. They turned out very cool.

We stopped by the temple to enjoy it's majestic beauty and got chased by bees!! Not fun. They were after us!!

The next day we went to Rock Creek and floated the river. Again and again and again until they were tired yet again.

Taelor and her cousin Lizzy sailing away all the while screaming like the little girls that they are. It was an amazingly fun weekend. I love my family more than I could ever put into words and I am so grateful for each of them.

What a 4th!!

So we started our day early and met up with Shane's mom and step dad and went on Ranger rides in the mountains. It was alot of fun. My kids love the Rangers and they can not go fast enough for Taelor the speed demon. Braedon and Dawson chillin in the back.
Trying to catch frogs!

Taelor and her Omah collecting wild flowers.

Shane helped Dawson carve his name in a tree. (If you have ever seen Fern Gully you know what I mean when I say I felt it's pain.)

Opah helping Braedon get his name official.

Waiting to go again after we stopped for lunch.

Then we got home and had to swim of course. But only after I fixed Taelor's hair so dang cute she had to swim and mess it up. :(

Then the rain started about 6:00 right after we got done with the BBQ. It first started to rain lightly then a huge down pour and then hail for about an hour!!!! I mean really!! I have never seen it hail for so long or so hard. It was nuts!

This is out on the back porch. It had only been hailing for maybe 10 minutes when I took this picture.

The kids got out their big wheels and took a few rides in the river in the front of the house.

Braedon thought his bike worked better.
Little miss complete with her umbrella

After about 2 hours the storm left as quickly as it came leaving behind a lot of mess. There was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen. My camera did not do it justice.

Then on with the fireworks. It was a great evening with crzay weather. It was fun to have family and friends over to celebrate our country. I hope you all had a great 4th also.

power?

So I have to share this story about Taelor. Last night it was dark in the house because of the storm brewing outside and she went in her room to find a book to read before bed and her light wouldn't work. (First you should know that we all have ceiling fans so the fan was on but not the light and she does not know how to turn the light on when the fan is on.) So she walks in her room and says in a very upset voice, "Oh great my power isn't charged!" We were laughing so hard. Good thing she has a dad who works for Idaho Power to help 'charge' her light back up!! It still makes me laugh to think about it. :)

Beware of Sea Creatures

We set up the pool on Sunday after church and the kids could only wait until the next day to swim. It was very cold but they were troopers. They only shivered as they said, "MMoomm wwatch thisss." They are becoming quite the little water babies. I am so glad we have the pool it was a great investment and it keeps them from saying the two dreaded words........I'm BORED!!!!! My little mermaid and her foggy goggles!!
