Tumbling

Strange and fuzzy picture but it was the only one that turned out. This is Taelor at her first tumbling lesson of the year. She was so excited to go and meet some new people. She didn't know anyone in her class. She was talking to some girls and they were so mean to her!!! I felt sorry for her. Hopefully next week will be better!

Now where is that.....

So for about the last month I have been wondering what I did with Braedon's football pads. I have looked in every conceivable spot. Looked high and low and still no where to be found. Shane askes me every now and then if I have found them. Still my answer is no. Why can I not remember where anything is!!! Am I getting early alzheimers? (Don't even know if I spelled that right!!) So now I have to find my Marriage Certificate and my Birth Cerfifcate for some insurance thing for Shane to prove that we are married!! Now do you think I could find them....no sir!! My house is not that big....you would think I would run across them somewhere. I am at the point of screaming and yelling at myself but where would that get me. It is still I that must find these missing items!! So here I sit still waiting, wondering, hoping they will pop out and yell SURPRISE!!! But that isn't happening so I guess I will continue the search!

Are you ready for some football?

Okay so I admit it I am totally a sports mom!! I always have my camera in tow just in case that one perfect pic comes along. I love watching Breadon play any sport but I love football!! He is #10 and playing wide receiver this year. He is enjoying himself. This year his team learned a Polynesian dance called the Haka that they do at the beginning of each game. It is so intense and energizing!! If I could get video to upload trust me it would be on here!! Then they walk on to the field as a united front holding hands. It is really cool to see the TEAM go up together!! Braedon and his friends cheering on the defense.
Getting ready to run the route and hopefully make the touchdown. He did get one touchdown on a reverse and he was so happy and proud. I love it!!

Ode to my children

Taelor I remember when you were just a baby crawling around getting into everything. Now you are a big girl who just started Kindergarten. I can't believe how fast you have grown and how you get cuter everytime I see you. I hope that you have the time of your life in school and excel in whatever you want to do as you get older. I am glad you are my baby girl!! I love you! Dawson you are my giggler!! You have always been the kid that laughs at everything...funny or not. Even when you were in trouble you would laugh!!! You are a very kind and sensitive young man. You will make a great husband someday....a long time from now. :) I love that you have my flexiblity. I can't believe you are in 4th grade and are growing up so fast. I love you very much and hope you always follow your dreams.
Braedon what can I say, it seems like yesterday that you were born and now you are in middle school (sniff, sniff). I can't believe it!! You have always been a kid that knows what he wants and you have always gone after it. Keep trying to get better at everything you do and you will become the athlete you want to be. I love you!!

Empty Nest......

Oh my gosh where did summer go? It seems like it just started getting nice outside and now fall is right around the corner. Yesterday the boys had their first day of 4th grade and 6th grade respectively. Braedon seemed alright with the whole idea off moving up to middle school. I was more nervous than he was I think. Dawson did not want to go 4th grade at all!! He gets so attatched to his teachers he has a hard time moving on. Poor kid. Today he seemed a little better so I hope he does okay! Taelor had her first day today. She was so excited that she could hardly contain herself. She picked out her clothes and was sooooo ready to leave. As a matter of fact she told me she is thinking of living with Mrs. Haber. We may want to let her know. :) I feel so weird being home alone when they are at school. I still help my mom but it feels weird when none of them are mine. I am just glad they are happy and having fun. My bid middle schooler.
My cute 4th grader

Living the life!!

This weekend we went to Salt Lake again....we love to go there!!! My Aunt's Uncle has a house in Bountiful and they were going to be out of town and said we could use his house for a party. The house is like 9000 square feet!!! Seriously I could get use to that house!!! Everyone had a blast playing at the pool, ping pong, pool table, the play room! It was alot of fun. Thank you Sarah and Jared for arranging the fun evening!!

Coeur d'Alene fun

We decided to take one more vacation before school and football start and my mother inlaw wanted to try Coeur d'Alene. So away we went. It was a very long and windy (not wind but curvy) trip. Along the way there were many potty breaks as you could imagine with 10 people traveling. We stopped at a rest area about an hour from our destination and found some very friendly ground squirrels. Boy were they HUNGRY!!!
Braedon gave his shredded wheat.

Dawson gave his grapes.

Taelor gave hers a little bit of everything and then she really wanted to hold one so everytime they came her way she would pet them an try and pick it up. Brave kid that one!!

Aren't they cute!!

The second day we were there we went for a hike on a hill that ran along a lake. It was so beautiful!!

When we got to a little point where there was not many people the kids wanted to get in the water. All fine and good but we had no swim suits. Not to worry though, underwear work just fine!! People were probably like "Dang tourists!!" Oh well we will never see them again!

This was our crew before Shane's step dad and his sisters husband joined us the next day.

The following day we went to a theme park called Silverwood. It was a mix of Lagoon and a county fair. Not what we were expecting. I am not much of a roller coater rider as the oder I get the more I feel like I could lose my lunch! So Taelor took this picture of my mother in law and me waiting for everyone else to get off the rides.

Then the next day we went to a Gold Mine. The kids got to pan for real gold and gems. They had a great time. In fact they did not want to leave!

Dawson loves rocks so this was his perfect day!!

Braedon getting very into finding the perfect one! Braedon found a small geode and a little gold nugget! Score!

Then we went on a tour of the mine and it was chilly!! 48 degrees! BRRR!

Then we ventured on down the road to the town of Wallace. Ironcially this is the exact spot where they taped the movie Dante's Peak. It was very cool. A man in the museum showed us what they did to turn their town into a disaster. Also right by the building with the pointy top it a spot in the middle of the road that says the Center of the Universe. Interesting!

Then we went on a walk where the Great fire of 1910 was. It was georgous!!

Kiddos posing for their dad!

The day after that we went to a indoor water park because it was freezing outside! Hello August? Anyway....I did not take the camera but wished I would have. There was a slide called the Super Bowl but the kids referred to it as ' the toilet'. It was a lot of fun. You would go in the tube and down unitl it dropped you in a huge bowl and you spun around and around until it bascially flushed you!! It gives the toilet a whole new perspective!!
The next day we drove home and the kids made a little make shift bed by putting the seats down! All in all it was a blast!
