Happy 6th Birthday Tae

Yesterday was Taelor's 6th birthday. I can't believe that she is that old already. I was thinking last night about where I was six years ago and what was happening and got sad. You get so excited for your kids to grow up and then all of the sudden they are grown and you realize that you did not enjoy their youth long enough!! Life gets in the way and everything gets rushed and it is hard to see that your kids are growing up so fast and then you just have to hope you have taught them all they need to know to make good choices on their own. But anyway that is not my point!! Taelor has been wanting a new bike for a long time. She kept telling me her old bike is way too small and it is not fair if she has to ride a little kid bike!! (Mind you she taught herself how to ride a two wheeler at the age of 3!!) She was thrilled when she saw her new bike and couldn't wait to go try it out. She also got a new bedspread and sheets from Grandma. Her O'mah got her paint for her walls (pink). Her boys got her two new CD's (Hannah Montana 3 and Miley Cyrus) and a little panda animal thing ( Not a great discription :) She was very happy and that is what matters! Earlier in the day when I picked her up from kindergarten I thought it would be fun to surprise her with roses. So I went to good ol' Walmart and picked up a dozen pink roses and when she came out of school I was standing there holding her vase of roses and she screamed and came running over to me!!! I wish I would have had my camera nd someone to take a picture of her because it was so cute!!
The day before we made cookies to take to Grandma's house and share with her daycare kids. Since she was the only one she got both beaters!!! She said, 'This is my lucky day!!' A girl after my own heart.......eat the cookie dough double fisted!!! Proud moment.....AHHHHH!!!

Bubble Wrap

So here are the six stitches!!!! They looked great until........she FELL AGAIN!!!! I could not believe it. She tripped and jammed one of the stitches into her knee so that it is basically disappeared!! That will be a fun one to get out. So I told her now I was going to buy her Bubble wrap for her birthday. She insists she will throw it away if I try.......but I might get her some anyway as a joke! :)

Stitches

This week has been very eventful. First getting hit in the parking lot twice by some dude that clearly can't back up to having Taelor fall yesterday and split her knee open and blood was a gushin'. We were at Braedon's football practice and she tripped up the sidewalk and her knee hit the curb straight on and split it good. We brought her home and got the blood to stop and I went over across the street and got my neighbor who happens to be a nurse. She just had a baby and walked in the door like a hour or two before I knocked on her door. First I did not know who else to ask and second I felt really bad asking a brand new mom to come take a look at my daughters bleeding knee. She was a great sport though and came and confirmed our decision that she would need stitches. There was only place open and they were about to close in 15 minutes so Shane picked her up and drove her to the clinic. (I did not go because I figured she would be braver without me there.) About 45 minutes later she returned with 6 stitches. She was pretty proud of herself. Her brothers had lots of questions for her since she is the first in the family to have stitches!! She was a tough cookie. (Notice no pics because the knee is still under wraps!)

Labor Day

So like I said before my dad and step mom were in town from Wisconsin and they spent the weekend with us. Saturday was Braedon's game, Sunday we went to Scout Mountain. They love the hike and take walks so we stopped at the store and got the necessities to make lunch in the mountains. We got there and built a little fire at a empty camp spot and roasted our hot dogs and the followed that my smores, YUM!! Than we tried the new thing which is to roast starbursts. It was good!!! Then we went on a walk and there were caterpillars everywhere!!! The kids had jars and I bet the had probably 30 to 40!!! I have never seen so many in one place. They did not all come home with us though. I think we are down to about 10. Then we came back home and I took them ice blocking!! They had never gone before and I thought hmmmm this should be a good time. Laughing at them as the tumble down the hill!! JUST KIDDING!! It was another great time!! Then we just enjoyed the rest of our visit with them!! I almost forgot.....we had a early birthday party for Taelor too. They got her some new clothes and shoes!! She is so totally a girly girl! I wish they lived closer so we could see them more often. My dad, step mom and grandkids
Cuties

Touchdown!!!

Saturday Braedon had a football game in Marsh Valley. My dad and step mom were here and they came with us!! They did the Haka again at the beginning and gave us all goose bumps. It was a very physical game. They were trying to manhandle our boys!!! The game was tied with 40 seconds ( I think) left in the game and they did a reverse to Braedon and he made the winning touchdown!!!! It was so exciting! I was so happy for him and happy that my dad and step mom were able to see that! It was a fabulous day!

Tumbling

Strange and fuzzy picture but it was the only one that turned out. This is Taelor at her first tumbling lesson of the year. She was so excited to go and meet some new people. She didn't know anyone in her class. She was talking to some girls and they were so mean to her!!! I felt sorry for her. Hopefully next week will be better!
